Cold Blue Recommendations?

    Need to patch/repair small blued trigger guard worn area. Any recommendations for which easy, goof-proof cold blue to use? Thanks and Regards, Ed

    Heard that the Brownells blueing gel is the best...never used it myself

    I had some Brownells Oxpho? (sp?) blue years ago...required many coats. Others? Thanks, CalvinMD. Best regards, Ed

    send the trigger guard to me and it will be black, as close to perfect or factory as possible.

    Also back in three weeks or less.

    and as far as the question goes, I have never seen a cold blue that will match the factory finish, or that comes close.
