Anyone make a closer for an 1100 trap gun nowadays? I saw one recently, but didn't know if it was something new, or something 30 years old.
    Thanks,

The Timney type closer I have was being sold by Wright's Gunsmithing recently. Very handy little gadget.

I had one for about a month. I GAVE IT AWAY,with the club manager who I gave it to promise he warn the person accpepting it, to have his medical insurance paid up. I had 4to 5 guys( 5 to 6, if you count me,) have the bolt slam shut when they carried the gun. After the experiences with the 1100, I NEVER used the gun without wearing gloves. The kind that protect you when your knife slips while working on a fish. I kid you not. Ask Jack Clark, our 16 yard champ, who broke 367 straight at the grand while shooting a break open gun.
Speaking of break open guns, where are all the H&R's ?

If it hangs below the receiver, forget about it and don't waste your time or money.

I have one of these "Easyloaders" on my 1187. It works great and should, IMO, be installed by a gunsmith. It can be a bit tricky to get the adjustment just right as far as sensitivity goes.
    Good luck.
