Sound like something you would like??????????? Jim

WASHINGTON - Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton said Sunday she might be willing to garnish the wages of workers who refuse to buy health insurance to achieve coverage for all Americans.

The New York senator has criticized presidential rival Barack Obama for pushing a health plan that would not require universal coverage. Clinton has not always specified the enforcement measures she would embrace, but when pressed on ABC's "This Week," she said: "I think there are a number of mechanisms" that are possible, including "going after people's wages, automatic enrollment

The government needs to 'go after her wages' to recover the expense of having to refurnish the Whitehouse when they left.

You can bet that the president and congress will not have the same plan they are trying to force down our throats. Socialism they call it. If you think that the government can do a better job than free enterprise look at the DMV, the public schools and the IRS, not to mention unemployment. Add another layer of "management" and cut costs? How stupid to they think we are?

To answer your question, Mike....a majority are stupid enough to vote for them. That's why they control congress.

Every western country has universal health care except the USA. Every western country has at least 20-30 days required vacation per person as well as up to 11 required holidays per year. Germany has the most; 23 required vacation and 11 Holidays. Totaling 34 required days off per person per year (minimum). The old USA does not require any vacation, nor holidays. How long do you expect this to last?

Wal Mart gives plenty of days off, most employess can only work 39 hours, so they cant qualify for any benefits at all.

    Nipper....

and the point of your post is..???

Are Walmart employees considered Indentured and forced to work at Walmart?

Are those workers not free to seek employment elsewhere?

Perhaps you should start a Union for them...Let's call it:

Affilliated Sales and Shippers of the Walmart Industrial Enterprises Systems.

    Yep...that pretty much covers it!

    Curt,

Yep, that pretty much covers it. What sticks in the Unions crop (craw) is the fact they can't UNIONIZE Wal-Mart and their millions of employees. Meaning: Hundreds of millions of dollars in UNION dues, that they can't get their greedy hands on.

Remember, Hillary Clinton was a "Cash Whore" on the BOD's of Wal-Mart. When she ran for the Senate, she resigned the BOD, citing a possible conflict of interest. The Clinton's trust fund was estimated to be between 6-8 Million Dollars. Biggest contributors: Oil Corporations, Pharmacutical Cos. and Defense Contractors. Just a few of the many reasons, they should never again occupy the White House. Eight years were eight too many!

Every other western country also has about a 30% to 40% effective tax rate.

What made us great is our capitalism. Socialism makes nobody great.

Are hospitals pushing for the national health program. It would seem they are the biggest gainers. Drug companies would be second biggest gainer. The drug companies would sell more simply because more people saw doctors. The hospitals would at least get paid - not that they don't get paid now (from some bucket).

Community hospitals cannot refuse service to anyone. Then they raise the charge to those who can pay and those with insurance to make up for it. Why do insurance companies get big discount but the guy without insurance gets no break.

I am not for more government control and I do not want to see national health care but the medical system in this country is broken and needs to be fixed.

England's national health system is a joke. People with the ability to do so carry a secondary policy so that they will be taken care of first if there is a problem. I was told that 6 months to a year is not unusual to wait for non-elective surgery. How would you like to go wait a year or more for surgery to fix a torn cup in the arm.

Nothing is free and we, the middle class, will continue to shoulder most of the burden. We are smart enough to feed ourselves ut not smart enough not to be feed upon. Screw them all but 6 - save them for pallbearers.

well, now, slow.....Canada's system is not all that great either.

The health care system in this country is in trouble because of 2 groups of people who do no health care.

    Lawyers and insurance companies.

If you can't figure that out go to shortbus.com,

Ok - how do we fix the problem? National health care is not a fix - it is a cover up.
