Recently I came in to possession of a small Lee electric furnace for casting bullets, probably 25-30 years old. It has a lot of rust and corrosion in the pot but otherwise looks good. Is there any particularly way I should clean it before firing it up? Anything I should or should not use or do? I have no experience with this process. Thanks..............AJ

Use some fine sandpaper to get the rust out and then just fire up a pot of lead and see what floats up by its self. Flux it with a little wax.

After you clean it, always turn it off full of lead and store it that way.
