What is the cleanest burning commerical ammo. in your experiences? I always look down my barrel after a day of shooting and have noticed that Federal Gold Medal leave the least amount of unburnt powder, soot, debris. Also if any of you shoot "cheap" commerical ammo. what name brand have you been most pleased with? I do not reload and only shoot 16 yard. Thanks in advance...Randy

I don't shoot factory ammo unless mandatory, but the Gold Medal factory loaded with Claydot is about as clean as anything I have ever seen.

Unless you're shooting a semi-auto, how many more swipes do you need to do to clean
your gun'?. It really doesn't matter. As a previous poster said, shoot your last shot with the cleanest shell you have, and the barrel will look prettier.

AA Light target are my favorite. Patterns best in my gun. As for the cleanest, who cares? A quick pass with a bore snake at days end and all is right with the world.

    I have always wondered....

Who cares if ammo is clean or dirty?

I happen to own cleaning equipment that allows me to fix that dirty ammo problem.

The most important aspect of ammo is "Does it break target?" yes or no.

Jerry B., I think your spot on guy!

"Now with reloads.. there is a whole different story.."

Factory loads have a more complete burn than a lot of re-loaders loads taken from all the selection of choices out there. Some reloading manuals will list the most balanced load on the page. Wonder what that's all about? :) Hap
