1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

SOLD==SOLD---Well--I was rooting around in the back of the safe and discovered this very nifty 410 bore Classic Doubles O/U. It's time for a new home. This gun is about perfect--call it 98% and you will be pleased. After Winchester quit the 101 business Classic Doubles took over and built extremely nice guns for 2-3 years--until the factory in Japan closed down. Production came to an end for these Classic Doubles offerings as well as for the Parker Reproductions--all built in the same factory. This little 410 bore gun is one of only a few hundred that were ever made. It's built on the desirable "baby" or small frame. The fit and finish are at a very high level. This gun has 26 inch barrels, twin ivory sights, with a set of $500 Briley thinwall chokes. The metal and wood finish is excellent as are the bores and mechanics. The stock and forearm is well figured and features very fine checkering. It has a POW grip with long tang. The trigger is mechanical, selective and adjustable for LOP. It has auto ejectors. The gun exhibits little use and would make a fine small bore hunting or fun clay target gun. It weighs 6 1/4 lbs which makes the gun easy to shoot well. So there you have it--take a look around the net--then consider buying this gun for A REDUCED PRICE OF $2795 delivered in the lower 48. This is a good DEAL!!

I have a classic doubles case that is excellent condition. I would sell to the new owner. It would really compliment that little beauty. Let me know if interested and I'll send pictures. Nice gun!

What do you mean by a "baby frame"?

Baby frame as in appropriately scaled down to a size more suited for a smallbore. Better proportions and balance. Winchester then Classic Doubles built some fine shotguns and this is a beautiful example. It was sad to see the line die.

Wouldn't a "baby frame" allow the barrels to be closer together. In the picture it looks like the smaller .410 barrels are adapted to a standard receiver. I certainly don't know my 101's but I'm interested in this gun and need to learn more about what makes this a baby frame.

Barry--Classic Doubles only built a few hundred small frame 28's and 410's. The frame is smaller then the 20 ga. frame. It's scaled down dimensionally.
