According to our best planning schedule, we should begin construction of the Public Module sometime in October 2007 with an estimated opening date of early summer 2008. The Public Module is designed to meet the needs of the citizens of Clark County for their recreational and firearms safety training needs as well as some shotgun events. Please see our Facility Development Plan for the layout, and the Master Plan for specific details. When fully completed (as funds become available), the Clark County Shooting Park will be the largest public recreational shooting range in the country. It is located on the very north end of Decatur Boulevard, with it's entrance at Decatur and Moccasin Road.

When completed, the new Shooting Park will provide venues for rifle, pistol, shotgun and archery shooting. The Shooting Park is designed to provide informal daily shooting opportunities, event shooting opportunities, firearms safety training, firearms skill development, hunter education, and conservation education programs. In addition, a specialized "tourism range" will be provided for use by tour groups for organized shooting activities. At full build out, a Visitor Center will provide several classrooms adaptable for conferences as well as a large spectator parking area. Please subscribe to the eBULLETin to keep up-to-date on the Shooting Park and thank you for your interest in the Clark County Shooting Park.
