Just heard that Steve Carmicheal is going to be running the Clark County Gun Club. This is great news if its true... Steve knows how to put on and run shoots.
There is no doubt Steve would be the man to put at the wheel of this gun club ... I hope they give him some freedom to promote the place and do not Micro Manage him ... Biggest problem once Steve takes over is you won't be able to get close to it because of the crowds ... Good Move if its true ... WPT ... (YAC) ...
Congratulations to Clark County and to Steve Carmichael, thats got to be a winning pair ... I can see I will be spending some time in Vegas again ... WPT ... (YAC)...
Steve is a hell-of-a nice guy. Puts on great shoots. He is a very good+ shooter. His son Steph(?) is also a very good shooter and one of the fastest doubles shooters you will come across.
Steve is right there to help new shooters out with information and pointers to improve your scores.
Steve is one of the good guys for this sport. I am loving that he will be running the Vegas gun club. Means more excellent shoot programs are coming soon.
We were very pleased when we were informed that Steve was being brought on board. His reputation speaks for itself and we look forward to his lending his expertise to our shoot. In fact, we knew our job was going to be much easier.
We not only shot at the old club, we actually bought some Pat Traps and voice calls for our club from Steve when he finally had to close down. Bringing him in is the best move Clark County could make to assure that its beautiful facility will get the use it deserves.
Bryan ... if you could of had the pleasure of shooting at the old Las Vegas club ... you would know how a great shoot is run.
When the Mint Casino built the club, it was 13 miles out into nowhere ... even when Steve reopened it. But ...Las Vegas kept growing and soon it was surrounded by houses.
As usual houses and gun clubs don't mix ... and the old club had to go.
Under Steve's tutelage, it will do nothing but get better!
Best news I have heard about TrapShooting in a long time. Knew Steve when he came up and ran the Izack Walton Range at Birchwood, Alaska. Will look forward to coming down and shooting at Steve's again. Dave Thacker
One of the employees I spoke to at the Clark County Gunclub last month spoke of his daughter's having taken lessons from Steve, he knew Steve, didn't think Steve would come back and work for Clark County, etc. etc.
I can project, then, that the new addition of Steve will be met with a very seamless melding of minds at that new club. This sounds great.
