When you think you have got every shooting accessory, along comes a new one. Joyce has developed a "Rain Coat for your Gun". These are light weight and can be carried in your shooting bag. They roll up to the size of a cigar and only weigh a few ounces. They are handy to keep dust and moisture off your gun. These water resistant "Rain Coats are $30.00". I highly recommend them.

As you can see it has a very compact size . It has Velcro tabs (2) to keep it rolled up and out of the way when not in use. It will fit over 35 inch barrel without a problem. At this time the only color being offered is blue. I know when I am shooting sporting clays or my gun is in the rack it will be protected form the elements. I have bought a dozen from Joyce and been giving them to my friends for Christmas.

    Ahab,

You can never be too careful with your gun.

I forgot to mention that the $30.00 includes shipping and handling.

Is it lubricated ...... to keep the gun from rusting?

It would be a heck of a lot more useful if it was designed so you could shoot the gun with it on. My gun doesn't get rained on otherwise unless it starts to rain while I'm on the line.

It is not lubricated.. My gun is allergic to water and wants to break out with "gun rash" aka rust, when exposed to water. These are handy to avoid water and dust when you need something in a pinch.

    FlaLagarto,

Does not take much to get on my Christmas list. All of my friends that have gotten these as gifts really like them. I have ordered 6 more. I guess I am a generous guy. I did a test run on one of them. I put the Gun Rain Coat on my SON's gun and put it in the shower (didn't think he would care but I did forget to ask him if he minded owning the test gun), worked like a charm, nice and dry. These little Rain Coats are meant to carry in your shooting bag. I believe they are a great gift idea for the "shooter that has everything".

Joyce is just getting started in this business and if you wanted custom sizing for a rifle with a scope, I bet she could accommodate you.

I bought 6 raincoats. One for myself and 5 for friends. I took my walk last night in the rain with my Uncle Bob's 20g M29 in my raincoat. The only thing that got wet was me. Not a drop got through to the gun.

    Better have one.
