    I have a cheap uncle who saves all the cards he receives and recycles them. For instance, last year I received a birthday card that someone else sent him from years past. He croses out Happy Birthday and writes Merry Chrsitmas on it.

    He will never mail a card as he will come to your house unannouced and drop off the card if he is in the neighborhood. I asked my mother if he is poor, and she said he is very well off. She said he has been this way all his life.

    I just make them out of an old grocery bag, cut them so they will fit in an envelope, and write on them "Money's tight and times are hard so here's your ----ing Christmas card"

    Works for me

    The most ironic Christmas Card I have ever received had the following poem from an alleged Santa written inside;

    I`m sending this poem to remind you that taxes have taken away

    The things I find most essential

    My reindeer, my workshop, my sleigh.

    I now make my rounds on a donkey

    He`s old and crippled and slow

    So if you don`t see me at Christmas

    You`ll know I`m out on my a$$ in the snow.

    Ironic, because it was sent by a tax accountant.

    In the past I have used Bluemountain.com and Jacquielawson.com (this one has a one time small fee)...also google "free holiday cards".....don't you just love it when no one gives you a serious, straight answer to a simple question?

    He's rich, and tight. He's in his late 80's, retired university teacher, never married, still drives his 1951 kaiser. On my birthday he gives me a penny for every year I am a live. He still wears leisure suits. He has never enjoyed a penny that he has ever earned. He eats 1 tv dinner per day.

    I have used Jacquie Lawson for several years now, and while not free ($12.00 annual fee I think it is), there are a large number of cards for many different occasions to choose from.

    Check out the above link for the website. With the price of postage being what it is,and will be, the savings on postage, let alone the cost of a card, this is the best way to go to send greeting cards.

    I would recomend it highly.
