choke vs weight ?

    Lets say you use a LM choke for 1 oz of 81/2 @ 1180 FPS, would the same choke suffice if you went to 11/8 of 81/2 @ 1180 FPS?--This is for singles.

    Does it suffice for what you are shooting now? And how do you know? It doesn't sound tight enough to me for any kind of trap (if you have to break a hundred.)

    Phil- A tighter choke does not really significantly reduce the size of the pattern. It would tend to only change the distribution of shot in the pattern.
    Like Neil, I would suggest a tighter choke for any load you shoot at trap. I would also suggest that you trust the holes shot into paper more than the stamp on the choke tube.
