Chicago Area Driving Info ????????????

    I would take 39 to 80 and avoid the congestion on RT59 that is a high population area with many shopping centers and lots of trafiic lights. You can get to Joliet via I57 if that makes sense for you.

    distance should be similar, but I'd avoid 59 if possible, going through Naperville, Aurora, Plainfield it goes down to 2 lanes south of Plainfield into Joilet and if you catch it wrong your doomed...

    80 East is pretty quick... I'd stay on the interstates as long as possible.
