Chiappa to put RFID Chips in Guns

    Chiappa will begin to put RFID chips, for inventory control purposes, in their firearms starting sometime next year. The article also mentions other Italian maufacturers doing the same. Would you buy a gun with an RFID chip in it?

    just put the THING in the microwave for a few seconds (if its in the stock, remove all metal first, unless you like sparks...Grubby

    Philosophically no, but practically you won't have a choice once all the old guns dry up. You could have a gun with one right now and not know it.

    Since you have them in everything else in your life what's the difference? Some people believe you have them in your body if you've ever been in the hospital in the last few years.

    Have you personally tested this theory (using a radio as a detector) with an RFID chip?

    It sounds suspect because AM and FM are not only on differing wavelengths, but are totally different in how they function. AM is far more susceptible to interference than FM.
