Anyone know where to get reloading data using Cheddite primers? I found some using Cheddite hulls but that was it.

    Hi Ryan:

Prior to buying my first 5000 Cheddite primers, I called Alliant Powder Co. and spoke to their ballistic specialist, I believe his name is Ben, about this. He assured me that they are very similar to the Winchester primer in every way and that they can be substituted with excellent results. Since then I've loaded more than 30,000 of the cheddites without a single failure.

BTW, Is the Linden Club back in action?

When I first started buying Cheddites, I emailed Cheddite and asked about the 3 dram Green Dot load I was using. They told me to use the Winchester 209 recipe and reduce the powder by .5 grain. they said theirs was close to Win 209 but a little hotter.

When I emailed Ben he said to use the Rem209 recipes.

I use the same reloading data as winchester primers. The cheddites are a little hotter than a winchester so dont max out your powder, your presures will be increased. I load them with Reddot, nitro 100 and tightgroup.
    All preform very well.

Why didn't somebody tell the poster that Hodgdon's online data base contains Cheddite data, mostly in 1 1/8 loads.

You have conflicting reports. It's up to you, but I would validate your load with the powder manufacturer.
