    The mint says a fresh one weighs 38.58 grains

    Coins will very somewhat. What you should do is take a coin or two of different size and weigh and mark them using a friends scale. Also I've even taken them to a place that sales such and used theirs.

    Heck if need be, I'll weigh a couple and send them to you. Send me an address and name.

    Use a small caliber varmint bullet. They will weight within .1 gr of stated weight.

    The weight I gave was correct... for the 90% silver dime used til '64. The new ones ARE 35.

    a set of lyman test wieghts are cheap enough midway sells them and you will have them for life

    A used Rem 209P primer weighs about 14 grains. I have couple that weigh 14 grains. Works for me since my powder load is about 17 to 19 grains.
