    Wonder why most of them were plugged into what looks like engine block heaters? Hard to believe the place isn't heated, or that he'd be taking them out in the real cold weather.

    Larry, The place is heated the furnace is about midway with a few registers, the other cords are just drop lights hanging.

    I believe Ohio Bob has it right. A good portion of vintage and antique car collectors use battery maintainers on their cars. They are made to be hooked up and left on all the time while the vehicle is in storage. Battery Tender is the most mentioned brand although I have a generic copy. They use a quick connect wiring harness so it's a quick detach when they wish to move the vehicle. They make them for cars, boats, motorcycles, ATV's etc. etc. It basically keeps the battery conditioned and at peak charge.
