1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

For more detailed information please see this post: Thread Bump Functionality.

It is common misconception in the States the Linder made guns for CD. He and his son were just dealers. The guns were made by Sauer and two other companies in Suhl. Proof marks may excite my interest.

See "HAL" and crossed pistols in the proof marks. These are H. A. Linder made guns. I have owned plenty of Linder guns.

I have attached the first paragraph from Wikipedia below which I believe to be fairly accurate -

Charles Daly was born in New York City on October 12, 1839. In the late nineteenth century, around 1875, in New York, Charles Daly and August Shoverling began a business importing firearms into the United States, primarily from the city of Suhl in what was then Prussia. Manufacturers for Daly at that time included Heym, Shiller, H. A. Lindner, Sauer, J&W Tolley of England, Newman (of Belgium and Lefever Arms.

Linder made Daly Regent Diamond 100% Never fired as far as anyone can tell and three gunsmiths have looked real hard.

I got to visit it last weekend (in a friends safe) oiled, cleaned and assembled it. May be time to sell it, first time it has been together in five years, did not want to make any wear marks on the hinge points.

    They are beautiful guns.
