I picked up a Daly Auto, 12ga 3", looks to be in good condition. Anyone ever shoot one? What can I expect? Plan on using it for ducks, geese, and late season pheasants. Probably put about 100 rounds a year thru it.

I'd co-sign Trons well wishes for luck and dependability.

I bought one at a yard sale 5 years ago.. looked brand new.. made in turkey.. $250.00 honestly.. probably the best 250 clams I have ever spent... I turkey hunt with it, shoot squirrels,doves..whatever.. leave it in my truck for months at a time.. I dont think I have ever even swabbed the barrel.. I have used it many times as a backup gun for the kids on my trap team when their gun would break.. never had a issue with it...I think you'll like it..

    They're hit or miss.

You'll either get one that works perfectly, or you'll get one that won't work, no matter how many times you send it back to have it fixed.

    Hope yours is the former.

Well, I've never seen or heard of a good one. One of the problems (timb99) is that Charles Daly is no more.....so, sending it back is no longer an option and finding parts gets harder by the day.

    I bought one about a year ago. .12 26" It would'nt eject
3 dram trap load even with the light piston. After coming
back from the service center, I still had problems with it.
Traded it in for a Super X-2.

I have two youth models, and if kept clean, they are great. They see 200+ rounds per weekend all year long. Decent gun.

Had one that wasnt too terrible after I dimpled the extractor pin hole in the bottom of the bolt to keep it from falling out
