Why is Neil listed as both the ATA Pres. and Central Zone VP in the April EC minutes? When he was elected Pres. didn't someone move into his old slot as Central Zone VP?

Tim- Not quite correct. Each Zone elects a Zone President, and that person automatically becomes a member of the EC as a Vice President of the ATA. After five years, a VP of the ATA automatically becomes the ATA President for one year. The President of the ATA has no more authority (some could argue less authority because he will be gone in one year) than the other four ATA Vice Presidents that make up the EC.

Now, John Hiter is the President of the Southern Zone and a VP of the ATA. In three more years he will be both President of the ATA and remain as President of the Southern Zone.

The next Central Zone President will be elected this August. He will become an ATA Vice President.

    Pat,

Thanks for clarifying me. I simply did not state it correctly like you did.
