It was a very cold, wet and windy day or so I was told (I was in bed with the flu). I really hated not being there to support my team and defend my title but the body was not willing. Cedar won and it wasn't even close: Cedar 431, Oxford 415, Quarryville 348.

Top shooters for the day and earning 1 yard with 47x50 are: Wilbur Ruhl, Ted Wallace, Bob Pierce, and Mike Sullenberger.

2nd place and earning 1/2 yard with 44x50 are: Fred Branscome, Ellie Gouge, Jim Roland, and Bob Shissler.

    Lewis class payouts:

    47 $14.50 (3)

    44 $7.25 (4)

    41 $21.75 (2)

    40 $14.50 (2)

    High Gun Purse: $13.25 (3)

    High Hcp Purse: $13.25 (3)

    50/50 winner: Ted Wallace $24

The club standings after 2 weeks are: Oxford 5 points, Cedar 5 points, and Quarryville 2 points.

Quarryville, are you nervous yet? Or, did all the Quarryville shooters defect to Cedar?

Next Pen-Mar shoot is Saturday Oct 24th at Quarryville. Looks like its going to be windy with rain.

    Curt:

Amazingly it never rained until the last squad left the line, then it dumped buckets!!! Quarryville fielded 30 shooters to Oxford's 15 but we still beat them (455 to 441).
