My computer was running slow and I downloaded CCleaner. It speeded up my computer. Now the proble is that it runs everyday and wipes out all of my browses. How can I stop it from running every day short of deinstalling it?
    Thanks
    Ed

Try opening CCleaner. Click on "Options", then click on "Settings". Uncheck entry for "Run CCleaner when computer starts".

You may also want to visit the site to make sure you're running the latest version.

Yup. You can set it up to never run unless you manually initiate the process. That's what I did. That way it does not interfere with any tasks you are doing.

You can also set options that do not wipeout cookies or browser history.

If you are cleaning your registry, I'd caution that you should do a registry backup or at least periodically set a system restoration point, or set one up to run automatically. I've never had a lick of problem from CCleaner, but the POTENTIAL is there any time you mess with the registry.
