I can see castration for sexual crimes,,,,,,but why don't they just charge these drunks with what they did, i.e. assault with a deadly weapon; first degree murder etc.,,,,,is it because so MANY of our leaders are drunks?????

Advocating castration for DUI sounds pretty "Lunatic Fringe" to me.

So how exactly would a castration prevent someone from getting drunk and driving? What we do with female drunks? (okay we know one answer for that)

But really, castration could prove to be a great benefit to many young men (although traumatic) and save them from making what seems like an endless series of bad choices. Or it could just turn them into substance abusers as they would lack the drive do anything else. Gee tough call....

Drunks and air headed moms are a bad combo.

Keep you kids close to you at busy traffic areas, there's a lot of people behind the wheel that do not deserve, or should not drive.

why not? takes away one of the excuses for being out drinking. and if they do get their license back and hurt someone driving drunk, their attourney should lose his.

    Bill Haskins,

"Balls said the queen, if I had 2 I'd be king. Ball said the king. If she had 2 I'd be through. Sh.t said the king, and 40,000 loyal subjects squatted in the streets. etc. I learned it many years ago around a Scouting camp fire. There are lost more verses.

Here's how it really works. On January 3rd, 2003, a drunk driver kills three young people near San Antonio. His blood alcohol was still .24 two hours after the crash and had to be taken under force. Three years later a jury finds him guilty on three counts of intoxicated manslaughter. They(the jury) give him PROBATION! He appeals and 9 years after the crash, THE CASE WAS DISMISSED. There was never a question about his guilt.
