    Hey guys,

I went guinea fowl hunting yesterday north of Pretoria in South Africa. A lot like pheasant hunting, except you are walking through the African bushveld.

Anyway, one of the guys I was hunting with had recenly bought a second hand gun that says "Castellani Star Vega" on the receiver. Same Castellani that makes shooting vests. It shows on the barrel it was made in Gardone, Val Trompia.

He got it for the equivalent of about $150, which is amazing, since guns are pretty expensive over here, for the most part.

The gun is in rough condition, but functions well, and he shoots it well, too. It has extractors, no ejectors, so it's a pretty basic model.

The proof stamp is "AH" which indicates 1981 proofing.

Another guy who was hunting with us is a gunsmith and he suggested it was either made by Rizzini, Sabatti, or Zoli.

Anyone out there have any info on this?
