case?

    bought a gun that had not been used for sometime.the case that came with it had been stored in the basement and has a very strong musty smell to it. any way to get that smell off.even the gun has a musty smell.

    i would fill up a bathtub with very hot water and add a box of baking soda to it,and submerge the whole thing for some minutes,then add laundry soap,do the same thing.

    or put mothballs in it

    Really depends on what kind of case it is. If it a hard case, try leaving it out in the sun for a while, maybe some Fabreeze spray. Anything else, just throw it away and buy a new one. Mark

    An ozone generator will get rid of the smell.

    setting it the sun opened a day or two, like oregunner said, worked on a hard case I had that had gotten wet.
