Try that link. My brother-in-law use to build radio towers.

Bulge, you can shorten links with this program.

Thank you Wayne. I was wondering how to do that. Maybe I can figure it out now. Mike.

    It is not the height!

It is the climb up ... gotta be physically exhausting!

I am used to working 60 to 100 feet up, so the height wouldn't bother me. If you fall 60 feet or 1700 feet ... it doesn't matter ... you are toast! Running joke is that we carry a hammer with us so that if we fall ... we can knock ourself in the head before we hit the ground!

Maybe a dumb question, but wouldn't a small parachute be in order here? They do make fast opening chutes.

I will admit I had a hard time watching this, as I do not like heights.

If someone said climb that tower or get shot, I'd get shot........lol

Kind of wonder would it be easier to get him up there with a helicopter ?

In 1956 as a “telephone man" I was conscribed into the US Army. After 6 weeks of basic, I was sent to Washington DC as assigned to the USACEA.

I was assigned to the east coast team where we worked radio transmitting tower and poles.

Tallest poles was 160 feet and tower was 217 feet.

When my 24 months with up, I went home, back to telephone poles.

I've climbed towers, but not anything anywhere near as high as that.

I couldn't even get to the end of the video, I was freaking out just watching it. (I am more skeered of heights than a bear tho) 100 million and a lifetime supply of super models wouldn't get me up there.

Ok gimme the bulb......... What bulb I thought you had it ? They cut that part out . Seriously you could not pay me enough to go up there.
How do you find people brave enough to do that job and how much do you have to pay them ?

Oh I'm sure they are paid well but actually these guys love this stuff. They are adrenaline junkies. These guys argue over who GETS to go up not who HAS to go up.

I guess that constipation is not one of the climbers' problems.
