The Heritage Inn is trying to lure trapshooters.

My friend Art at the Inn is offering a $29.95 special to shooters for all 3 of the Cardinal events. His motel is a little further away but for some extra driving you could save some monies that could be invested in ammo ect.

He says he wants to fill the place.

    No city noise!

I stay there often on my travels.

Ask Art for reservations (419) 589-3333. (trapshooters' special)

God forbid you ask a shooter to drive a bit. In Sparta it's a royal sin. In Ohio it's ok.

It is nice to see anyone offering a good deal for trapshooters. At $29.95 maybe a few more people will enjoy our sport. I don't have an RV and with this deal I can stay a few more days.

At 70+ mph straight up the highway I can be there in about 20.

Some of us weekend warriors have to save a few bucks to travel.

Hell in Sparta you are lucky to find anything not full less than an hour.

In Ohio it's a freeway drive

Like you have spent a bunch of time in Sparta. Give me a break. You have not Registered a target yet at the WSRC. I don't believe you have ever even seen the place.

A local business person is offering $29 rooms to trapshooters. He has also offered free rooms to the winners of the upcoming grudge match at the Ohio State Shoot.

If all you have to offer is some hate then maybe you are on the wrong thread.

Just my opinion offered w respect.

First ... let me say that $30. for a motel room is a great offer.

Second ... let me say that, if this Heritage Inn is the one in Mansfield, Ohio, it's 45+ miles from the CC

Third ... let me say, niagra, that hate, as it relates toward the WSRC, has been rampant from many a Ohio shooter. Hate, in this case has worked both ways.

Fourth ... I agree, it's time to let the hate go and take advantage of a thirty buck motel and a free World Shooting and Recreation Center.

Fifth ... Let us know if this Heritage Inn is the one in Mansfield, OH. If not, then where?

Barry the Inn is not in Mansfield.

It is at the 176 mile marker on 71. I left earlier this morning and made it to the Morengo exit in a little over 20 minutes.

Maybe you drive slower than me on the highway.

Thanks to anyone offering discounts to trapshooters.

Matt, I know for sure that Dr. Longshot has been to Sparta. I sit next to him at one of the BOD meetings. We had a nice conversation. Hoosier

I will admit I have not been to Sparta since the WSRC has been built but had been there before it was, I don't think any hotels, or motels have any $29.95 rooms within an hours drive of the faclity ... This is what I have been told by shooters that do attend the Grand and complain about the length of time, miles, and prices they get charged for accomidations ... I do not have first hand information but they have no reason to lie to me becasue they know I won't be there even if the rooms were free ... I might go visit if I can stay at Matts house ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

niagara, you should be sure to have your friend let Teri Bichsel at the Cardinal Center know, she is putting together the programs right now. Brad

Google Maps shows that it's 37.9 miles from the Heritage Inn in Mansfield, Ohio (near exit 176) to the Cardinal Center (near exit 140). It's 36.9 miles of interstate driving, the rest is on secondary roads.

A little over 20 minutes to cover almost 38 miles? At 90 miles an hour you can cover 36.9 miles in 25 minutes.

Most people should probably plan for the drive to take a little longer, closer to 35-40 minutes.
