I need help connecting an extension to a Canterbury voice release system. We want to use the extension for shoot-offs and long bird matches.

We have a wire buried from a pole to the trap house, but don't know where to connect it into the box in the trap house. We have a single release button that we want to use from our old Western trap.

Please advise if this is possible without hurting anything.

Remove the X's to e-mail me.

    Thanks

If you want to use the single release button rather than the switch/button fron the Canterbury, you should bypass the Canterbury and connect it directly to the trap, where the Canterbury now connects, usually a twist lock connector. Just put a matching twist lock connector on your new wire and make the switch when you want to use your button.

    Thanks Dave,

We just finished figuring this out for ourselves. I think all is well.
