Family visiting for Christmas. I usually give Crown Royal Black as Canadian is their favorite. Wondering...what is yours...and why?

    Thanks, milt

I like Crown, but it isn't cheap. We drink Windsor and Coke year round. Charlie Henderson

White Owl whisky or Forty Creek, IMO are both better than Crown

Milt, as you know, I'll drink whatever you provide :)

But if it's all the same to you, Make mine Jameson Irish.

Unless I'm celebrating something special, VO and a splash of water does it for me.

    Lit,

Isn't Jameson Irish a long way from Canada? Didn't know they made Canadian whiskey in Ireland???

OBTW, what's your preference at the 2012 Mo FALL Caps and are you bringing that other guy w/u (for inventory purposes)?

Merry Christmas to you my friend and cheers, what ever your bumming...:)!!!

    milt

PS: Say hello to your PITA friends for me...my guess is that they all prefer some type of Sour Mash???

    Denny:

Were you aware Jameson is produced by French distiller Pernod Ricard? Frogs making Irish whiskey. What's up with that?

    sissy

PS: I'm pretty sure single malt translates to 'paint thinner' in English.

Milt, I'm sure there's Irishmen in Canada. As for the Fall Caps next year, your Longnecks were primo!

Sissy, If I was really, really honest (Don't laugh you effete snobs)...I like Kessler about as well as anything.

PS: maybe we can get someone to bring some Yuengling from the east...hear that's really good...wonder what we should offer as an incentive for trade?
The WalMart brand peanuts will be free on me for sure.

Forty Creek is very good. So also is Gibson's Finest (12 years old), just recently available in our area. I used to get it at the Duty Free shop at the Canadian border whenever I could.

Equally smooth and tasty is Pendleton, and for less money.

Those are the 3 finest I have ever had, and they all put a whuppin on Crown.

Have them bring down their best. Alberta Springs is the smoothest i have ever tasted. A lot better than Crown. Not even a contest. Canadians think Crown is OK and after tasting Alberta Springs you will see why.

When I splurge I buy Makers Mark or Knob Creek but the everyday drink is Canadian Hunter with a splash of water. It is the best Canadian Blend for the money that I have found. Around here $16 for the big one. ( IMO campared to Canadian Mist is is way better)

Cuban, way back, I went to a local club that was giving hunters away for prizes, and I managed to win a few. Also got a half gallon for HOA. I still have them in the trophy case.
