I am guessing that Canada does not have a gun smith?

You don't need any other US paperwork.

The approved ATF Form 6NIA in your possession with valid stateside hunting license is all you need. Does not matter time of day or day of week.

Never made the trip before but i'd say the more ducks you have in a row the easier and safer your trip will be. Be careful and have a good time.---Matt
