Dear friend of St. Thomas Gun Club,

I am writing to give you private notice that the premium, preferred squads for the 2011 Canadian are starting to fill up!

As a frequent shooter at our club, I especially don't want you to have to stand in the long line-ups that will occur with this major tournament. As you know, squadding on-site at our club is still done manually by us, so I am writing to urge you to get on presquad.com now to book your squads and avoid disappointment.

It's cheap and it's fast - and it instantly guarantees your squad number and position. Your squad cards will be waiting for you upon your arrival - no surprises or delays!

On presquad.com, you can join an existing squad (knowing who the other shooters are) or you can start a new squad. So...if you want to book just yourself, or a partial squad or you have a full squad, you can easily do this using presquad.com.

And it's only 2 bucks per position per event! (How much is saving time and securing satisfaction worth to you?)

Not only will you not be standing in long line-ups to get squadded but you will also be helping out the club to provide an efficient and smooth running shoot. Cutting back on the lines and getting the shooters out on the line to shoot will ensure the events get completed in good time leaving more time to relax and socialize with everyone from across Canada and the US. And don't forget the non-registered events at the end of the day!

    so...here's the link: http://www.presquad.com.
use the Search by Month function about halfway down the home page
(hit June 2011) and scroll down the list that pops up to find the Canadian listing - then click on it.

hit "presquad for this shoot" and you're on your way!

If you need help using presquad.com - write me back - or call me at 519-633-2680. I'm here to help!

    Best regards,
    Pam

Up for all our great friends in Canada.

We wish you all a very good and successful shoot again this year. We are unable to make it to St. Thomas this year. We loved our visit a few years ago, and we even started home with some loot until Judy got to the Casinos along the way..ha ha.

What a nice place to shoot. Canada does it right !!!

We will miss you folks !!!

There has been a flurry of activity on Pre-squad.com for the Canadian. Get yours in today!

Dave, put some gas in your motor home and come on up here. We would love to see you and Judy back up here again. Bill Malcolm

We miss you too Bill !!!

Longest trip this year will be the Cardinal Classic in August. Going to meet Kenny Ray in Vandalia on his return trip from Sparta, spend a couple of days at the Trapshooting Hall of Fame Museum with him and Tami, and then over to Marengo for the Classic.

Kenny Ray called the other night, and told me he is getting all geared up for the Canadians again this year. He had a blast at the 2008 Canadian in Hamilton, and is looking forward to seeing all the Canadian folks again this year.

Gee, c'mon down to Ohio for that Cardinal Classic shoot...Not too far from you, and one of the best facilities there is in trap shooting.

    Have a great shoot !!!

    Dave in SC

    Good Luck to all,

I noticed on Pre-Squad.com that there are a few from BC and also know that there are a lot more to come.

Barb & Bill, take care of my friends as you always do.

Wish I could be there but to many things say no.

You bet we will Reg - and with such great folks as members of the St. Thomas GC and the volunteer tournament committee, we're confident that no-one will leave without a fantastic memory!

Presquad.com is filling up - this Canadian Championship should be at full capacity. Hope all of our Western cousins, who we understand are coming in droves, get their squads chosen before the service at presquad.com closes this week.

After travelling so far and with their airline schedules, they need to get the squads they want - spread the word, Reg!

    best always,

    b.

How hard or difficult is it to cross the border with firearms/ammo to shoot in Canada?

Not difficult at all Rich! 5 minutes of paperwork before you go, a brief visit with our customs agents at the border during which you hand over $25 bucks - and then you can bring in your competition shotguns and 1500 rounds of ammo. Your 'hall pass' to shoot here is good for 60 days.

Rich, if you are interested in attending either the Canadian Championships (next week) or the Ontario Provincial Championships (end of July), just give me a holler if you'd like any assistance.

For detailed info on coming into Canada, go to the OPTA's website (listed above) and hit the "Visiting Shooters" target.
