can you sends gun for repair if you are not FFK

    I sent a gun they are questioning if I am a FFL . I am thinking it is a repair stupid but I didn't say that.

    Yes, you may send a gun into a gunsmith or repair facility for repairs or improvements....Bob Dodd

    And they can send it back to YOU, and not through a dealer.

    By LAW there is no BATFE requirement to be an FFL to send/recieve back for repairs. That doesn't mean any given carrier can't demand whatever they want.

    I sent my BT-99 to Va. for repairs...gunsmith said to insure, package properly and mark as "precision machined parts"...not gun or firearm...
