Can Perazzi type 3 forearm wood convert to type 4?

    Can it be glass bedded and reinleted? Anyone ever try this?

    No there is too much difference between the two

    Even if you do it yourself and figure $0.10/hr, the cost would be prohibitive.

    Now a 4 to a 3 would be pretty easy

    Cost efficiency is the only concern.

    You can easily buy a type 4 forearm wood for around $100 or so. To find a type 3 forearm wood is more difficult.

    Type3's don't seem to be a problem to find. I have a couple that I keep for spares tho I am beginning to think that is a waste of space. I keep waiting for them to break (on four different guns) like they are supposed to do and it just keeps on not happening. Last forend/spare I got is in rather desperate need of refin but is otherwise just fine and it was just way cheap.
