Is there a way to tighten a BT99 that is loose in the hinge pin or do I have to send it somewhere? Thank You

You should send it to one of the Browning specialists. The job is best left to those with the tools and knowledge.

Straight99, If it's an older model you may try removing the forearm loosen the iron and then tighten the screw on the very end and retighten the iron in the wood.I've fixed them temporarily by putting shims in the barrel lug. Usually .010 will tighten them up. Most gunsmiths weld up the lug and refit it.Hope this helps George

Tightening most break open guns require welding on the forend lug and refitting the forend. It's also likely that the locking bolt will need to be replaced or welded and reground to match the angled lugs on the bbl.

Just remember you DIYers, the forend lug is silver soldered on. 1200*F and it'll fall off. That's barely a red glow.
