Bret Erickson current US Team coach shot the 2004 and 2008 Olympics after having a pacemaker installed. The answer is yes... You can shoot with one.

My friend had his pacemaker put on the opposite side of his gun shoulder.

After a problem with the device he had to get a new one (not related to shooting) and it was put lower on the chest under where the gun mounted.

Worked fine. He was an excellent shooter with quite a few 200's and after the thing went in he never had any problems shooting.

It would probably be a lot easier to shoot trap with a gun.:)

Yup. My dad did it for years, no problem. He also had it installed on the off side, but I'm not sure that was absolutely necessary. It could have been installed lower on his chest, below the gun-mounting area. The things are pretty tough.

While I've never shot a pacemaker I think that shotguns work far better than pacemakers for shooting trap.

My buddy had one moved from one side to the other so it wouldn't bother him to shoot with it.
