Well, Moonbeam was elected again. What is wrong with the people of California?.. I was born and raised there. It once, was the Golden state. What has happened to that wonderful state that everyone dreamed of moving too, and now can't get away from, fast enough. California voters, such fools.....

Governor Moonbeam is my hero. He will provide a vintage Porsche for every citizen, bake bread and make wine for every household, pay off every remaining mortgage, hire everyone to work for the state at $75,000 per year, free medical, dental, vision, as well as free Pizza and porn on Wednesdays.

He did such a great job as Governor and later as mayor of Oakland, he's bound to be a smashing success.

I still have three adult kids and grandkids living there. Run kids, run!!

California is such a terrific state, it is a shame that the majority of the voters just see things so differently from the rest of us. Virtually no one I voted for won. It has been frustrating my entire life, feeling like a salmon swimming upstream here.

Then I buy a getaway home, and where do I choose to do that? Nevada, home of Reid. Nothing against his opponent, but we could have done better and got that scum bag out of office. I really think that was a loss for her, more than a victory for him. And he had to bring in major resources to pull it off.

I often joked that I bought a home in Nevada to have a real address, not California, and then realized I got Reid in the deal. Reid, Pelosi, Boxer...what a group to feel responsible for. I can assure you none of them have ever gotten a check box from me.

I predict one of two things will happen in California. One, Governor moonbeam has learned something during his lifetime and will move surprisingly toward the right, recognizing this is the last chance he will have in his life time to be seen as anything but but a tie-dyed rainbow-haired whacko in a suit, OR he will live up fully to his past as a full blown leftist nutcase, in which case with his help the state legislature will bankrupt the state, and the plethora of social welfare programs will end when the money runs out. Either way California will be better off than it would have been under RINO Meg Whitman, who is nothing more than Arnold in a female body. Meg is nothing ideologically but an eastern patrician leftist who would chest pound about republican ideals, and then like Arnold, compromise away everything she said she stood for. Better we finish off this emaciated lung cancer ridden monster of a state that continues to inhale through the trache in it's neck, wheezing and gasping and fighting for every breath while continuing to inhale the nicotine of government spending and cash stolen from the citizenry, than have another session of Arnold-like compromising that works to just barely keep the patient alive. I'd rather see California killed and forced to look at the truth of where leftist ideology led it to than another round of barely keeping the monster alive.

In California it's somewhat like the Alamo.

The conservitives are simply totally outnumberd.

Take LA, San Fran and Sacramento out of the loop and we would be fine.

California is collapsing under the weight of its' public employee pensions. Without $ from Washington D.C., Calif. will be forced to declare bankruptcy in the near future.

Arnold was betting on Fed $ to bail CA out. It's not going to happen with the power shift in D.C.

After looking at the numbers on the state govt election I can only say this is a direct product of voter fraud. IE Illegals voting!

That being said, I was listening to Karl Rove last night and he was talking about percentages of registered voters in this state. 44% DEM, 32% REP, 20% Indep.

This is perfectly impossible!,,, Unless there is wide spread voter registration fraud, and I am talking Alemeda and LA counties being the most probable places for this to happen.

I have long been a proponent of proof of citizenship in order to register to vote and the Dems have done everything possible to circumvent this law, as a result we have All of the top state jobs IE Gov, Lt Gov, Treasurer, SOS, and right down the line going to Dems. Like I said this could have only happened with wide spread voter fraud.

I have to agree totally with "Wireguy" on the fact that Meg Whitman would have just been "Arnold in a skirt", because without a Republican Legislature she could have accomplished absolutely nothing and would have probably tried to compromise on too many things.

This state has been past the verge of collapse for some time, best to let it crater, and when Brown is inable to placate the unions due to lack of funds, and his own promise to not raise taxes without voter approval, the state will have to face reality. Maybe then the Unions will get whats coming to them. I hope Chipped1 is right about CA not being able to get money from congress. But I fear they may try to borrow outside the country and get us into a major predicament.

If Chinese people come to my door and want me out of my house, I start shooting!

The biggest problem I see is that the Dems and UNions finally got the "simple majority to pass a budget", thru, and I fear that the same people who dominated this election will vote in major tax increases too. For the Schools! I'm so sick of the schools.

If they are able to vote these increases in I and my family who have lived in this state since 1956 will have no choice but to leave.

Until the people break the Union Stranglehold on this state nothing will change. And I have warned the readers of this site many times about what was happening here prior to today. Just remember, All of the Legislative Crap starts here! You think it won't happen to your state, just let the unions get entrenched, and see what happens. The Unions are basically NOT "Far Left Liberal", but they will USE anyone who is willing to listen to further their agenda.

What you get along with the Unions is Far Left Idealogy, so gun control here we come.

I will be surprised if we are even able to own, or shoot guns within one year.

How ya like me now? I kinda told ya so! Just ask me how I really feel?

The biggest thing to be concerned about is taxes, I predict taxes will be raised within two years in spite of what brown promised in the campaign also look to the democrats to try to roll back prop. 13. Next will be environmental regulations that will increase expenses to everyone making it impossible to live here.

Wireguy & Blow-by are pretty spot on. I think I have given up all hope for the state to ever survive. There was a "perfect storm" of elected officials and propositions passed/failed which have set up a condition that is worse to me than the Federal issues facing this country. CA used to be the 5th largest economy in the world by it's self, I think this has slipped to 11th or something, lots of Fed tax dollars are provided by CA businesses and citizens.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but a key campaign point of Gov. Moonbeam Ver 3.0 was that he was going to solve the budget problems by repealing Prop 13, forcing all homeowner's to pay taxes on the current valuation of property they own. A simple 1,000sf 50 year old home in my town is going for $125k today, same house was going for $399k+ just 2-3 years ago. The swings are huge in property valuation and are driven by a speculative cycle every 7-10 years. If Brown fulfills his campaign promise, I expect every homeowner's property taxes to go up an avg of $10k/yr. Prop 13 was enacted to protect the old folks who couldn't afford to live on a fixed income, with wildly increasing property taxes. Guess the old folks are going to get hit hardest, them and the banks who own all the empty foreclosed houses they won't release for auction cause they are trying to "make the market" and eliminate paper losses.

Next part of the "perfect storm" is Lt Gov going to Gavin Newsome, current mayor of SF and the biggest BS lieing Dem in the entire country.

Next was Prop 25 to allow the states budget to be passed with a simple majority or 51% of the legistlators rather the 2/3's majority. With a primarily liberal state assembly and senate, anything Gov Moonbeam, and boy Wonder want will pass faster than shit thru a baby.

The Gov won't have to raise taxes, the legislature will do his dirty work for him without even being asked.

The interactive map at the website link above provides a county by county summary of how votes were cast Lib/Conserv for all positions and propositions. You might be surprised just how few county's Moonbeam won to win the Gov'r office. CA and more importantly Californians are about to be taxed into depression. The effective reaction to the election is going to have a ripple effect thru the economy that will rattle the foundation of the US I'm afraid. Gun control issues aside, I've never felt this bleak about our states march down a path to some 60's LCD induced idea of nirvana or the "perfect society".

I've spoke with 3 folks this week considering moving to Texas for a number of reasons. I think there may be a conservative "brain drain" immigration out of the state. The fiscal conservatives that are left may not be here to vote the right way in 4 years. The state may never recover and may be on a path to socialism or communism. Hard to believe the Saskatchewan legislature is controlled by an openly communist party, made for strange bedfellows in their last major provincial election, which was never covered in US mainstream news. I wouldn't be surprised if the same party shows up in CA elections in 4 years. Just unbelievable to me the potential for bad things to come out of this election, the same things that got Grey Davis kicked out of office 3 years ago.

I say slice off a piece about 20 miles inland from the coast of California, Oregon and Washington and call it COW.

Kick it out of the United States of America and let them try to survive without the revenue from the lands east.

California has been touted as the 8th largest economy in the world. Now it is $120 billion in debt. Soon Governor Moonbeam will come to the national government to bail them out. I say let them go under. They vote for all these hare-brained schemes; they have "sanctuary cities"; they want open borders; they love anchor babies etc. The list is too long to recount.

When push comes to shove, we will be expected to bail them out. To hell with that! Let them live with the consequences of electing people like San Fransisco Mayor Gavin Newsome. It's not our problem. They made it, let them fix it!

You people voted all those thieves and know nothings into power year after year and now complain you did well.
You reelected a man who after his first term laughed at how stupid you all were in believing his lies that he knew how to fix everything, that speech was on TV again right after you elected him again.
You rejoice that "women" is a Rhino was no good and she would do nothing, a business women who on her own made millions, yet you put her down and reelect a man who knows nothing. Be proud. You Aholes took over 500 million dollars part of my money and working people like me, what happened to it, who got it dummy.
A man from your state on my main shooting web asked, pray for us. BS! You dont deserve any help at all.
Once, the 8th largest economy in the world, NOW, what are you besides beggars with your hands held out for a few dollars.
You slap each other on the back as if you did well, the shame is with you.

Rick I think it might already be too late. Look at Nevada. 20 to 25 years ago Las Vegas was a great town. Now look at it. Get a couple hundred yards off the Strip and the plush hotels and look. It's just like LA now. All the businesses have gang graffiti sprayed on walls topped with razor wire surrounding their buildings.

I always thought I would end up back in Nevada, but the CA invasion has put an end to that thought.

I have been told there are now more people living in Idaho who were born in CA than born in Idaho.

And you are right they flee CA but still vote the same way when they move somewhere else. I would like to see a law passed that if you have ever lived and voted in CA you cannot ever vote in any other state that you chose to move to and live.
