    Everyone,

This will be the thread to update everyone on what is happening at the Grand this week. We started out the pre grand with over twenty five shooters. The team races were submitted Friday morning. Because of the new categories especially lady 1 and lady 2 we were short a member on each team. We tried to combine the ladies but were not allowed. Very unfortunate as the lady team is always tough and represents California well.

The mens team consisted of Jimmy Heller, Steve Smith, David Kelly, Zach Nannini, David Alcoriza, and alternate Gary Beers. The team took third place. The sub junior team consisted of Chayton Vega, Anna Weilbacher and Quintin Julander. The team took fourth place. As of now the rest of the winning teams are not finalized. If any other team wins I will let you know.

    Great shooting by all.

    Grand Attendees,

California State picture is scheduled for Thursday between 815 and 830 am. The picture will take place at the rocks in front of the event center. This is prior to the champion of champion events that kicks off at 9 am. A quick picture and then we can go cheer for our shooters who will represent us.

A great accomplishment occurred in the 200 singles that was split between Saturday and Sunday. Bill Sergent shot his first 200 straight. I know Bill has been working on this for sometime and shoots singles very well. Great shooting Bill keep it up.

Give me a call and we will make sure you get your pins.

Wish Logan the best. How many singles targets did Logan end up running this year?

Warren Morimoto is here and will be shooting in his place. I know Warren will do great.

I will be posting the names of the State Team participants on Wednesday along with the shooters who will be shooting in the champion of champion event on Thursday.

Logan had a long run of 1076. He ended the years breaking 1990 out of 2000 registered targets.

James: Excellent reporting. Have a question for you. What is the maximum age for a "Junior Gold" participant? Just curious. Bob English

To n Plain View - From the ATA Online Rulebook. "A shooter who is 18 but has not reached his/her 23rd birthday may declare Junior Gold." However, the Grand program says "to age 23", which could be misinterpreted to mean including age 23.
