Cant help on the release trigger question but my double barrel shot 60/40 both barrels with the rib at it highest adjusted point. The double barrels are "hooked" together so you could not get the lower one to shoot a different POI than the top one. I think I understood your question.

Buy yourself a nice set of used Perazzi OU barrels and call it good to go. It's cheaper and you'll be just as happy if not more so.

The Guerini will adjust from 60/40 to app. 110% high. I have a factory
release in my Magnus combo and it's every bit as good as the one in
my MX-8 combo I traded in. The Guerini is an outstanding gun. You won't
    be disappointed.

I'll second what sky buster said. I have a Summit trap 32" O/U with the factory installed releases. This is the best and fastest pointing gun I have ever used for doubles. The trigger is crisp and sharp and very consistent from shot to shot. The adjustable rib can be adjusted to provide the same bead to bead reference while POI is adjusted from 60/40 to well past 100/0. The chokes on mine pattern a little tighter than the marking on the tubes so I use a Skeet on the bottom with 7/8 oz #8 1/2s and a MOD on top with 1oz #8s. With my normal doubles rhythm if I am on both targets will sootball.

The only problem I have with my Guerini is that when you adjust the rib to shoot 60/40, the drop at comb is only 1 3/16" .....at least 3/8" too high for me.......
