I have a CG Magnus. It appears that the side plates are pressed in place. Can I remove and reinstall the side plates or is this a job for a Gunsmith? Hard to clean the triggers without removing the side plates.

If you remove the stock the plates should just slide.out.

I have a Maxum and the side plates do not come off. On the Summit they are much
shorter for access to the trigger. If yours are as long as the Maxum, I would say they don't come off.One of the downsides of long side plates.

I have a Magnus and the side plates do come off. It a tight fit but you can pull them off.
The Summit doesn't have side plates. It's a full box lock.
The Maxum has side plates that come off.

Thanks Bill, I've had the stock off but never tried to take the side plates off in fear of not getting them back on good enough to stay.
