I would direct the issue more at Cadillac itself than GM...having experience with an older Caddy I agree they are nothing but trouble.

On the other hand, I love and have no trouble with Chevrolet Impala's...04 and 07..no problems from this GM product.

Guy I know bought a 2007 Chevy 2500 HD diesel brand new to pull his 5th wheel camper with, after he had it for about two months he started having problems with the transmission, it wasn't shifting right, and times when it wouldn't even shift until you let off the gas. So he declared lemon law on GM, and he was told 2 weeks later to take it to he dealer and it would be replaced. Hasn't had a problem with it since. This could have more to do with Duramax diesels, but even then, GM/Chevy did something right...JMO, Josh

Love my 04 CTS and my 05 Avalanche. Computer on Avalanche is reading 21.2 MPG after my 11 mile retun trip from the Silver Dollar today after driving 302 miles since fill-up. Just can't beat those GM's. JRM

I went through a lemon law deal on a ford areostar van, it took just about 3 months total. I think that dealer is pulling your leg on the time frame. Forget him and go to the manager, they have forms and what not you fill out they go to the MFG not the dealer and they do the rest. Get on his rear or kick him into gear.

We had an 03 Chevy that the transmission quit on us in 15,000 miles, GM put in a new trans. Runs great now, but you never seem to forget it quitting on ya.

I had another GM that was even worse.

We gonna drive the 03 till it quits or for several more years but from here on out it's all Toyota, Nissan or other quality foreign made vehicles.

I think .....Thats Normal... is a ploy that is taught at every dealership.

I remember it back in the 60s. Do they think we are all morons?

The women seem to get it worse.

Maybe they dont understand that they are cutting their own throat.

    Regards...Gerald

Memories......1972 Super Beetle, first year. McPherson strut front end, back to the dealer 5-6 times for steering oscillation at around 55 MPH.

Then they said "it's because of the ice built up on the suspension".

    Some things never change.

I have spent a little money on upkeep for my Cadillac Concours, but am satisfied with it. I get around 26 MPG HWY if I drive like an old guy (I AM an old guy LOL).

Hard to beat on long trips. Very quiet. More power than needed, it does not know what a hill is. Sports car handling, Cadillac ride. This is my sixth one, likely not my last.

I have had great luck with all of them. One got totalled by a big truck, the car took ALL the punishment. My hair was not even mussed. Wait a minute, I don't HAVE any hair. (snicker)

GM lacks quality control from there suppliers as well as their own manufacturing plants. Of the American big 3 Ford has the best quality aduit program for suppliers and their own factorys. You don't need to be a brain surgeon to see why Toyota has kicked our ass in the car market.

There are lemons made by all of them foreign and domestic....how damaging it is beyond that depends on how its handled...seems to be a wide gray area there

Imports have their problems, too. My Nissan Frontier has had the starter, alternator, dist. cap and rotor and heater fan motor replaced....all in barely 10 years and a lousy 190,000 miles. Yuk! Yuk!

Cadillacs can't be bad, they're made by union labor.
