Anyone use the cabelas XT1500 scale? Price about $80.00
/What is good and what is bad about it?

    Mike,
I sold mine and bought a RCBS 10-10. Couldn't get a true reading if the A/C was on or a fan blowing in the room. Had a heck of a time calibrating it, too. Much happier with the beam scale.

I have a cabellas model Max 1500GN. It is very easy to calibrate and is very accurate. Leave mine next loading bench. I use Promo and check each jugs drops even if is the same lot. Use Mec Grabber.

I think a good beam scale is quicker. I've used both...a lot.

My favorite is a beam with a little oil bottle that is used to dampen out the beam movement.

Mine works just fine. I also have an RCBS which I sent in for a checkup, thus the reason for the two. Since getting the old one back, I've cross referenced numerous times and both have the same readings.

I believe they are made by PACT and should be a good scale. I can't imagine how a beam scale would be quicker. My experience is that beam scales are good, but slow. I have used many different beam scales for many different things.
