Every thing in this world is negotiable! If they don't wish to negotiate, move on..someone will but you will have to be reasonable. Offer half of their asking price and you insult them, ask them for the sell it now price & you'll probably be surprised, it will be a bit of a savings. When both parties win, you get what you want and they sold what they wanted. You didn't steal it and they didn't make a weeks salery on it.

That is a very difficult question to answer and really can only be answered by the Gun Library manager in the Mitchell, South Dakota store. Give them a call at (605)995-4467 or fax them your offer at (605)995-4477 or send them an e-mail with your offer to mitgl@cabelas.com

You just never know unless you ask the actual person who would make the decision and that person can be contacted at the above provided ways. I would suggest that when you do call or contact the person that you make a sincere offer and be prepared to either get a counter offer or be told that is the price and there is no negotiating but ... well ... its all up the person in charge and that person is most likely not on TS.com to ask.

Good luck ... I hope you have a successful and happy negotiation ending with the gun you want.

if there anything like gander mtn is on their used guns, don't hold your breath. W/ gander, the price on the tag is the price you pay, take it or leave it.

I would rather deal with the guys in the Gun Library at Cabela's than alot of other gun dealers. Yes they will deal on used guns and they will also deal on the offer they make you on your guns. At least the guy's at the Kansas City Kansas Cabela's are good to work with. Also if you have a problem with the gun (or just can't hit with it) they are great at taking care of the problem, buying the gun back or whatever provided not a lot of time has passed. Probably depends a lot on the store (and the Gun Library manager). New guns are pretty well set in price and are not handled through the gun library.

    Hey Gary,

I'm still kicking the idea of this gun at Cabela's around vs. a local gun that needs a blue job, re-stocking and etc.......but the local gun is wayyyyyy cheaper........... :)

I'll see you and Todd next weekend, your on the first squad of the main shoot post 2.................

In their case I would walk in there WITH CASH and put down what you are willing to give them. In other words PUT THE CASH ON THE TABLE FOR THEM TO SEE. that gets their attention. Don't talk to the counter monkey but ask for the manager or even better the store manager. By putting the cash on the table that shows you are not kicking tires but that you want to do business. As for the local gun if the action is sound and it works then you need to call a gunsmith to see how much its going to cost you to reblue and restock the gun. That money may past the price of the other 21. You have to sit down and do some adding up on numbers. If you buy the local gun you will not have an factory gun but the other one is a factory gun. which gun will resale better. The one you fixed up or the one you don't? Reblue guns don't bring as much as one that has not been.
