    Yikes....Cabelas in Dundee, MI listing Estate's 12ga 1 1/8 at $74.99 a flat or 10 boxes...

At these prices Trap/Skeet/SC shooting will suffer big time....

    regards

I think we are getting the message that Cabela's, Gander Mountain, Dicks, etc. don't want to deal with target shooters looking to get a deal on large quantities of low margin shotgun shells.

I see that Able Ammo and Gamaliel are still arount $ 53.50 on their shells. Hopefully there will be shells available for that price the rest of the year, and by buying large quantities through distributors like we have done for the past 30 years, we'll be able to continue to get prices we can live with.

Cabela's in Hamburg PA Gunclubs went from 48.99 to 79.99 a flat last week.
But for some unknown reason the Remingtion STS shells went from 74.99 to 64.99
It didn't take me long to figure out which one's I was going to buy.

I was in Cabellas in West Bend, WI and they had Estates listed at $69.99 a flat and Rem Gun Clubs at $79.99. Looks like the anti's finally found a way in cahoots with corporate America to control firearms and that is by driving the cost of ammunition so high honest sportsman won't be able to compete. The only guns and shells that will owned by the bad guys and those are likely to be stolen!

Even with the rising costs of shot, no one is going to tell me that Estates that were $34.95 last year can justify a price of $69.99. The ammunition industry is in the process of losing their biggest supporters. Who shoots more rounds ( bullets) on a % basis than a target shooter?

Believe it or not target shooters are a small fish in a big pond. Hunters consume far more ammo than we ever dream!!

Cabellas has always seemed like it was too expensive to me, Gander Mountain is rediculously expensive however Dick's on Eureka in Taylor still has gun clubs @ $45.80 a case! STS and AA @ under $60

Ex-Navy, exactly my point! Even with the price shot being up we have a huge disparity in prices of shells based on retail store and geographical area. You have the same exact disparity with shot going from $39 to $62 for a 25# bag.

Mono ... if you hadn't bought those flats they would not have raised the price. Your the cause of it ... yep, you bought the last they had and now they had to go up in price! :)))

Yes Jekyl but there are a lot more of them than us! Hunting and personal defense ammo is a much larger market.

Wally World tonight was $20.68 for 100 rounds of Federals which comes to $51.70 per flat. Not bad but that's a $10 increase in the last 2 weeks.
