To California residents... Any idea why the STEYR handguns are no longer on the CA DOJ approved handgun list? Thanks. John

Can't speak directly about the Steyer but handguns sold in Ca. must pass the DOJ. drop test. Manufacturers must submit weapons for sale in Ca for the test and pay a fee. Though few fail the test, some are never submitted because of the cost vs. potential sales.

Maybe if a few more wouldn't sell in CA and the other socialist states the people living there would elect some representatives to stand up for gun rights.

I don't know for sure but my understanding is that you have to submit several pistols of each variation maybe 10 or more to let them destroy and the company doesn't get them back. All for the privilege to sell in CA.

I would assume those "operating costs" would not be a consideration for an established and respected company like Steyr Mannlicher. John

Maybe they don't make less than full capacity magazines for their guns?

Maybe they're just fed up with the BS.

Hand gun sales are huge in California make no mistake about it, maybe first or second in the nation.
