Bushnell makes a Speed Gun with an MSRP of $160. I'm curious if anyone here has tried one for target setting?

Brian, Our club has one. It works ok. Not bad for the money. Dave

Brian, as long as you are willing to squat down and hold it peeking horizontally just over the top of the traphouse, it'll work just fine and give you good target-speed just like its more-expensive cousins. If you stand up, however, your targets will be too fast.

Neil, curious, will this or anyother gun work on it's side? Lay it on the top of the house and pull the trigger.

Our club also uses one of these with the Neil technique for target setting and have had no complaints. Go on EBAY and you can find them for under $100; that's where I got ours.

Check out the clearance bins at Radio Shack..Found one for $60...Works fine! Set the hand grip on the back roof edge when taking reading and it reads very consistant. Compared it with our old radar gun and it's right on the button, you would never tell the difference.

Bought mine for $50 on clearance. It works a lot better than I expected it to. It's pretty accurate if you spend the time to do it right. You MUST be near the same level as the target travels. I used it from the top of the house and from inside with decent results.
