I found a load in one of my old manuals that calls for 17.5 g of Bullseye powder and one oz of shot with a Federal 209 primer. I loaded 5 and they shot nice with low recoil for a 1200 fps load. Just wanted to know if anybody has any experiece with this load in the cold? Starting to get pretty cold here and don't want a bunch of bloopers. JW

Bullseye has about the fastest burn speed of any powder. Bloopers with good loads and primers will likely not be an issue.

Where the heck are you finding Federal 209 primers? They were discontinued many, many years ago. The Federal 209A primer, of course, is a whole different animal, and not an acceptable substitute for the Federal 209.

Got em at an auction. $20 per 2K. Bought everything they had. I'm still trying to work my way thru the 3k Herters 209's that were part of the batch. JW
