I am looking to maybe purchase a BT99. I have an FFL, so I can buy about as cheap as possible. But what I am hearing is they are only good from the 16 yd line. Is this true? I have been out of trap shooting about 10 years and I am going to go back to it. When you buy one, as a general rule are they fairly close to ready to go? My o/u, I had to have an adjustable comb, Graco and porting done. I was hoping to be able to skip this if possible. I am a lefty also, if this has a bearing on it. All help is greatly appreciated. Tim

I know alot of fellas that have been around this game next to forever. Many of them achieved the 27 with BT's. Need to find better sources for info. That is about as far fetched as they come. The gun don't know where your standing.

My Pops and I use Bt99 for pot shoots where the closest we shoot is 27 yard line and longest is 50 yards + and the targets get hit!

My grandson shoots an older Bt99 with a full choked 34" barrel and crushes 27 yarders.

Many BT shooters prefer the older model, larger fore end a little heavier. A cut comb and a in stock recoil reducer make a great shooting combination. I've had 20+ trapguns in all price ranges. This works for me. Clyde

You can read on the internet that a .30-06 won't reliably kill 120 lb south Texas white tail deer. Sounds like those guys write about shotguns too.
