Ok got some photo's together and decided to see what yall think about this old model 31.

ok first of all it's not mine but just thought I would share with all of you model 31 lovers out there.

    <a href="http://photobucket.com" target="_blank">[IMG]</a>

i guess you noticed the wood on it.

The engraving isn't to shabby either.

    <a href="http://photobucket.com" target="_blank">[IMG]</a>

Engraving nicely done by Mr. Ken Hurst im sure you have heard of him before!

    <a href="http://photobucket.com" target="_blank">[IMG]</a>

Ok the Finish was done by Mahovsky's this particular finish is called Metalife......a ss chromium finish their most durable finish

Ok the main part is the Woodwork was done by Bobby Emrick of Scattergun Stocks.

Also it has an Greg Hissem's adjustable buttplate installed on it too.

Ok thats all of the photo's i got for now just wondered if it would make a good shooter or not.

im sure you can see some more fine wood in the link above.

Ok thought you would like it by the way like I said it's not mine but the feller that has it also done the wood work on it also he had a few more craftsmen to add their touches to it which was noted in my first post.

I don't know if it is for sale or not but maybe Bobby will reply if it is, if not then I don't blame him but I think it would look good in my gun safe at home myself.

Hey Foggy thanks for posting the pics....the ole 31 was a project gun for me always wanted one so the search was on.....last fall the gun was purchased from a ts.com poster......who had it listed on an auction site......

Then a search for someone to engrave it for me and ran across a SX-1 that Bob Bumgart had engraved by Mr. Ken Hurst, found several more guns that was engraved by him 2 or 3 phone conversations and a few e-mails it was done deal....very pleasant man to deal with.....

The SX-1 also had a unique look to it....the metal finish.....contrasting colors thats the look I was seeking.....which was done by Mahovsky's Metalife.....reasonably priced and very happy with their work.

The wood.....I knew who had a special piece of AM. Black Walnut....that he has had for years....he priced it and I bought it. I like the looks of old school stockwork so I made a pattern stock with a cheek piece and drop dimensions to fit me....turns out I wanted more toe out and my good friend Greg of Greg Hissem Stockworks installed his adjustable butt plate for me at a shoot I was attending.

Could not be happier with the final outcome or the craftsmen used throughout this project.

Its a shooter as well if I do my part.....not for sure of the choke constrictions and I dont believe this one will be for sale anytime soon.

HOly excrement, Batman, that's a heckuva gun.

That would give you a good feeling even if you hit 72 with it.

Vic R. must be turning about 3600 RPM in his grave right now...seeing that gun prostituted and debauched like that.

Hey foggy again thanks again for posting pics for me. Took it out this past weekend and several wanted to see it. Glad I did picked up some stockwork on a M-12 because of it.

Shot it ok 24 in the 16's and a 20 and 22 in hdcp from the 27......shoots a little lower than I like.....however it is a keeper for sure.
