    BT-99 won

I just picked up a nice little BT-99 Pigeon Grade for the young trapshooter in the house and it won't eject. Not a show stopper as extraction is preferable right now but in the future, ejection would be nice. The ejector does pop out when the action is opened but very weakly. I have never been inside of one of these before but I imagine one of you has. What all is involved with replacing the ejector spring, hammer, sear, etc? What would be a good test to determine where the problem lies before replacing everything?

    Thanks!

    Jeff

Pretty simple after the stock is off. I wonder if the ejector rod is bent?

Jeff, The ejector spring(B1793746) is located in the forearm and the trip rod (B1793755)is located in the reciever. Click on the above website for a pdf drawing of a BT-99. Darren

Check the ejector spring. It seems to be a common fix for those who want to switch from ejectors to extractors to change that spring...like to a 1911 firing pin spring. Check out the Browning forum on Shotgunworld.com. Used to have a "sticky" about that.

    Just a thought.

The original BT-99 ejector spring will launch the Space Shuttle. LOL

It is likely, as is suggested above, that someone has indeed replaced it.
