Is a five and half pound trigger pull about the norm on a 2006 pretty clean non adjustable model,? Is it the norm that it would stay fairly consistant?
My 2005 manufacture BT-99 that I acquired NIB in Feb. 2007 originally had a 4 pound trigger pull.
In 7,000 rounds (or less) it went to 1 1/2 pounds.
I obtained a copy of the manual in the website URL. listed above.
The surface of the sear that engages the hammer has worn slightly rounded. The book describes the problem quite well and advises purchasing a new sear. I expect to have a new one arive, tomorrow.
I will check the new one out dimensionally, if it matches the old one (minus the wear) and passes the tests described in the manual, that will be a bonus; if not, I will be looking at someone with the skill to fit it properly.
The type of wear in 7,000 rounds is very poor IMHO, I RAELLY hope this is not a trend in recent Miroku-made guns, I have always had a lot of confidence in their products, up til now.
Thank you for your inputs, looks like it should be ok as is.
Pete
