I am needing help trying to find the date of manufacture on a BT99.I went to the Browning web site and read the procedure but I guess I am too dense to figure it out.The serial number starts with 37D and it follows with 5 digits.
Thanks for your help. Ed
I bet it is right. We have a BT-99 in our safe that starts out 47D. Once they reached the 70's I think they reversed the year. Sounds silly, but I do know the gun we have is early to mid 70's, and using that theory, it would be a 1974, and Rem25's gun would be a 1973.
I've got a 47D followed by five numbers. Thanks for the info, it had me perplexed also.
